We met up with some friends in San Clemente for an Easter egg hunt. Colton is really good at hunting for eggs! It's pretty adorable and the best part is that he gets enough candy for him and me! Brekyn enjoyed playing with her friend Quincy and was entertained by the plastic eggs.

April 4th - Knott's Berry Farm
On April 4th I had my diaper bag packed and we were about to leave to Knott's Berry Farm. Devin called from work saying he was going to take the rest of the day off and join us. (I had sent him a picture to his iPhone, the first pic of the post, and he decided he had to come with us.) We went with all the Dickson family and it was fun to have Dawn & Jimmy in town with their kids. We took Colton on the log ride and he enjoyed it, except for the big drop. I used the Baby Bjorn with Brekyn for about 20 minutes before I realized she was way to heavy for my back to handle. She is quite the cute chunker!
April 3rd
April 3rd was a fun girls night out for Kiki's Birthday. We went out to dinner at Lucille's Barbecue and saw the movie The Hunger Games. I read the book over two years ago when Colton was a newborn, so the movie was a long wait!
Plus, I got a new iPhone, so most of my pictures are taken with it now. I have been using instagram more than blogging. However, I would like to continue to blog to have a family journal.

Easter Egg Hunt
We met up at Coastal Peak park with a group of friends from church a couple weeks ago. We had an Easter egg hunt and a potluck dinner. Colton was one fast egg hunter. Brekyn enjoyed playing with his empty eggs after he ate the candy out of them. Unfortunately, Devin couldn't make it because he was at his GMAT prep class.
In their pj's
I am feeling very blessed to have this boy and girl in particular as my children. I love them more than words can describe. Motherhood is harder than I had imagined. Moments of triumph, moments of defeat. However difficult tantrums and teething can be, the good moments outweigh the rough times 100 fold. I know I will miss this stage, even though I don't know how I could ever miss having 2 kids in diapers. I definitely put the "mother" in smother. I probably kiss all those cute cheeks hundreds of times a day. I love to snuggle these cuties in their pj's!

Brekyn at 11 Months
I can't believe my sweet little angel is already 11 months old. I'm so in love with this cute girl. She has been so giggly and playful and I feel so blessed to have her as my daughter. Her top two teeth have officially sprouted through, aiding her in an extra cheesy grin. She said "mama" for the first time a couple days ago. She's been saying "dada" for a month or two now, so this was way overdue! She is a great sleeper, and a big eater. She's been standing on her own every now and then for a few seconds, so maybe some walking is in the near future. I am not in a hurry for her to walk. I remember Devin and I were so excited for Colton to walk and then we realized how much more difficult it was to have runner on our hands. So Brekyn, take your time!

Day at Knott's!
Last week we went to Knott's Berry Farm with Grandma Laurel, Auntie Kiki, and cute cousin Fletcher. Brekyn and Fletcher even went on a couple of the kiddie rides with us. Laurel took us out to lunch to my favorite place, Johnny Rockets, and the kids were surprisingly well behaved for us to enjoy it.
Little Corona beach day
Brekyn & Roman
Brekyn & Noah
We met up with some friends at Little Corona a couple weeks ago when we had perfect weather conditions. Colton had a lot of fun playing with a couple older boys that kept jumping across the strip of water. Brekyn was adorable crawling in the sand, at times chasing after birds. I really liked the secluded beach and little rocks to climb. However, I'm not a big fan of the massive sandy hill you have to come down to get to the beach. I had a hard time coming down the path to the beach, with two kids in the stroller. But I had an even harder time going up. I like to think I'm pretty tough, but a bystander asked if I needed help, and I accepted. She must have seen the beads of sweat forming as I tried pushing my kids up the very steep incline. I don't think I'll be going back to that beach without my strong husband to help, or until my children can walk up and down the hill themselves.
