Hawaii Day 6

On the 6th day a few of my girlfriends from the North shore came to our beach rental in Kailua with their kids for a swim.  I was so proud of Colton for utilizing the skills he learned in his swim lessons when he swam to me!  He kept telling me to "Get back!"  so he'd have more space between us to swim to me.  Such a brave little guy!  Later in the evening, Devin stayed home with the sleeping kids while I joined my family for dinner at Haleiwa Joe's in Kaneohe.  The view from the restaurant is breathtaking!

Hawaii Day 5

This was quite an eventful day packed with activities and adventure!  We started off with snorkeling at Shark's Cove and then lunch at my favorite spot Shark's Cove Grill.  Then we headed to Waimea for snorkeling and rock jumping.  My mom diving from the rock was quite impressive.  From there we went to Haleiwa for some Storto's sandwiches and Matsumoto's shaved ice.

Hawaii Day 4

Our day in Waikiki was one of my favorites!  We started it off with surfing.  It was Colton's first time and he loved it!  Devin was one happy dad to be spending time on the waves with his boy.  I also got to take Colton out for a little surf session.  After surfing we ate lunch at Cheeseburger in Paradise.  Then, we went on a catamaran ride.  The kids loved it!

Hawaii Day 3

Sunday we played it low-key.  We went to church and then for dinner met up with our friends on the North shore.  It's such a different dynamic with our friends now that we all have kids.  Almost 4 years ago none of us had kids and now we each have at least 2 kids.  A little more hectic, but still fun!

Hawaii Day 2

Later in the evening, my parents watched the kids so we could hang out with our friends from when we lived in Hawaii.  Oh how we miss them!  We went to Waimea for some night rock jumping and swimming.  Then we went to our favorite Thai food spot, Haleiwa Eats.

Hawaii Day 1

Wow.  Flying about 5 hours with two kids is miserable.  Miserable, but well worth it.  We had a fun time with our family.  We started the morning off with bagels and muffins.  Then flew to Oahu and drove to our beach rental right across the street from the beach in Kailua.  I highly recommend renting a house over staying in a hotel when you have kids.  The first day we got there we played in the pool and went across the street to the beach for a late afternoon dip.
