Hawaii Day 4

Our day in Waikiki was one of my favorites!  We started it off with surfing.  It was Colton's first time and he loved it!  Devin was one happy dad to be spending time on the waves with his boy.  I also got to take Colton out for a little surf session.  After surfing we ate lunch at Cheeseburger in Paradise.  Then, we went on a catamaran ride.  The kids loved it!

Hawaii Day 3

Sunday we played it low-key.  We went to church and then for dinner met up with our friends on the North shore.  It's such a different dynamic with our friends now that we all have kids.  Almost 4 years ago none of us had kids and now we each have at least 2 kids.  A little more hectic, but still fun!

Hawaii Day 2

Later in the evening, my parents watched the kids so we could hang out with our friends from when we lived in Hawaii.  Oh how we miss them!  We went to Waimea for some night rock jumping and swimming.  Then we went to our favorite Thai food spot, Haleiwa Eats.

Hawaii Day 1

Wow.  Flying about 5 hours with two kids is miserable.  Miserable, but well worth it.  We had a fun time with our family.  We started the morning off with bagels and muffins.  Then flew to Oahu and drove to our beach rental right across the street from the beach in Kailua.  I highly recommend renting a house over staying in a hotel when you have kids.  The first day we got there we played in the pool and went across the street to the beach for a late afternoon dip.

August Part 1

 Funny story:
We are at the park and this mom (pictured running behind Colton) is running laps while her kids played.  Colton decided to join her and kept running at a fast pace in front of her shouting "Don't get me! Don't get me!"  He loves being "chased" so this made for a fun park day.

Shira/Sharla date with shopping and shakes.

These two pictures of them running through the sprinklers melt my heart!  Love these cuties in their undies!

Just another rough day at the office for Devin!
A day at the Del Mar race tracks.

Celebrating Brylee Sue's 1st birthday.

Swim Lessons

Swim lessons were for a two week period.  Colton cried the first 3 days almost the entire time...it definitely pulled on my heart strings!  On the fourth day he was laughing, happy, and very outgoing.  It was so adorable.  I hope next summer he skips the 3 days of crying.

Jennifer Lopez & Enrique Iglesias

A big thank you to Amy & Tyler for inviting us to this concert.  It was a blast!  We started the night off with dinner at Tutto Fresco.  Then we headed to the Honda Center for the show!  Devin enjoyed Enrique but fell asleep during J.Lo's performance.  I loved both shows!  Enrique singing "I can be your hero" was probably my favorite part of the night!  He entertained the crowd with his singing and energy, while J.Lo's performance was more theatrical and choreographed.  I preferred their older songs rather than their more recent hits.

August 4th, 2012

This was the day that marked Colton riding his first (mini) roller coaster.  The second picture from the top is a picture I took immediately following the ride.  He was happy as can be and we sure were proud of him!
